A Story of my life that I would like to share I once lived my life like many individuals of modern day society. I once suffered from depression. I… read more had suffered through childhood traumas from childhood abuse from my parents to daily violence on the streets. During my adolescent years I participated in a lot of social gathers, parties, nightclubs with people that carry negative influences with them. I used to drink lot of alcohol on a daily basis, I would experiment with substances, overindulge in gluttony and act upon impulsive behavior. I have committed sin and was dishonest not only towards my family and friends but myself as an individual. I was never satisfied with my life, always suffering from anxiety and depression. The only thoughts I had in my mind were violence, self abuse and suicide. During the later years of my life, I only wanted to harm myself and others around me whom I loved. I was never motivated to living the life that I wanted and was always seeking for excitement and experiences that I thought could make me happy, but I was never happy and only lost myself further as the years past by. Eventually started working with medicine that had given me experiences that gave me hope and a chance to change my life for the better. I worked with many shamans around the America’s and have became passionate with the medicine. It was not until I found Nihue Rao when my life has evolved and transformed; I was never the same person after opening my first diet with Pinion Blanco at the retreat. It was then, when I had decided to commit my life and spiritual practice through the teachings taught by Maestro Richardo. I am putting my full trust and faith through his guidance as I believe his heart is filled not only with authenticity but genuine love for the people who come visit his retreat. So not only do I trust that he can help myself, but own family and the people around me who I love. Nihue Rao is a place of tradition. Ayahuasca retreats have modernized over the past several centuries. It is rare to find a Maestro that continues to put tradition into practice, as many would find that many retreats offer food that is not fully suitable for master plant diets. Examples of foods may contain salt, sugar, spice, citrus or even dairy and etc. Many retreats from my experience offer these foods that can damage the diets and as an end result could lead to negative long terms effects by hurting the diet. These traditions need to be taken into serious considerations as it can be harmful not only to the plants but to the individual. Which is why I trust the protocols and procedures given to all passengers in the retreat. Nihue Rao offers traditional diet food that has been practiced since the beginning of the Shipibo tradition. They offer the basic foods that consists of mainly fish and plantain, and some other varieties of diet friendly foods which are more suitable to the master plants, like beans, quinoa, potatoes and white rice. The proper foods for the diet is what gives the best results for the healing process. Throughout my stay in Nihue Rao, We have integration circles where we share our experiences and feedback about our journeys in ceremony. Though these integrations, I have been given good insights and advices on my weekly process, which in return gives me a good idea where I stand on my progress of growth. I am always confident in my personal development and yet always humbled by the extraordinary experiences I get from my deep healing. I can confidently say that the place of my authentic transformation was in Nihue Rao Centro Espiritual.
